Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?
We inform you that OPINNO (Entrepreneur Capital, S.L) acting as a licensee of MIT Technology Review, Inc in compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter "GDPR") acts as co-responsible for the processing of the Personal Data you provide when registering for the program.

How do we use your personal data and what is the legal basis for its processing?
The Innovators Under 35 LATAM 2024 platform can be accessed by different types of users; and, depending on the type of user, your data will be processed for different purposes under the terms detailed in this privacy policy. Thus, we inform you that you can access the platform as:
Candidate: Representative of a natural person who requests to participate in the competition by submitting the candidacy on the Innovators Under 35 LATAM 2024 platform.
As a candidate, the organizer of Innovators Under 35 LATAM 2024 will use your personal data for the following main purposes:
- Manage your registration on the Innovators Under 35 LATAM 2024 platform.
- Evaluate your submission through the Innovators Under 35 LATAM 2024 platform in order to choose the projects that best meet these terms and conditions of participation.
- Manage requests, queries or suggestions from candidates.
- Send information related to awards, as well as send invitations to relevant events.
- In addition, as established in the Legal Conditions, the organizer will treat their image and voice by recording, broadcasting via streaming, reproduction, distribution or use, without limitation, of photographs, videos, sound recordings of image or voice of the candidates.
- Finally, and only if you have expressly accepted by clicking on the current box, the organizer will use your personal data to inform you about the IU35 global event. The legal basis for this processing is the execution of a contract, considering the Legal Conditions as a valid contract between the organizer and the data subject.
For these purposes, the organizer may contact you by mail, e-mail or telephone.
External judge: Natural or legal persons in charge of evaluating the candidates' projects and deciding on the presentations they consider most interesting.
As an external judge, the organizer will use your personal data for the following main purposes:
- Manage your registration on the platform as an external judge.
- Contact you for the adjudication of candidate submissions to be evaluated by you.
- Manage your requests, queries or suggestions.
In the event that you provide personal data of third parties to the organization, you must have the express consent of the owner or must be covered by one of the legitimate bases of Article 6 of the GDPR.
For these purposes, the organizer may contact you by mail, email or telephone.
What type of data do we process?
Within the framework of the functionalities and, for the management of your participation through the platform, the organizer will process the following categories of data:
• External judges:
- Name and surname
- Telephone number
- Nationality
- Corporate email address
- Company or institution
• Candidates:
- First and last name
- Telephone
- Nationality
- Country you represent
- Corporate e-mail address
- CV
- Category in which you participate
- People who reference the project
- LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter).
No specially protected data will be collected.
How long do we keep your data?
The organizer will keep your personal data for the period necessary to carry out the purposes for which they were collected. Subsequently, if necessary, the information will be blocked within the legally established time limits.
In the case of personal data provided in relation to your images or voice, the personal data will be kept for five years, starting from the date of capture. After this period, the data will be deleted unless you indicate otherwise.
In the case of your contact details provided to the organizer to inform you about other open innovation initiatives, they will be stored for one year. After this period, the data will be deleted, unless you indicate otherwise.
To what other recipients will the personal data be communicated?
The organizer may communicate your personal data to the license holder MIT Technology Review, Inc. This includes, but is not limited to: first name, last name, email, address, title, year of application, biography, digital images and any other material or data necessary to manage the overall TR35 program. The data and materials include both unsuccessful applicants and winners who will ensure compliance with the necessary security measures for their treatment.
Likewise, they may be communicated in the legally established cases or when necessary to fulfill the purpose of data processing.
What are your rights as a data subject?
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion or opposition at any time, as well as the rights of limitation of processing and the right to data portability provided for in the RGPD on your personal data, by sending a written communication attaching a copy of your ID card or other document proving your identity and indicating the right you want to exercise at the following address: derechosdatos.innovators.latam@opinno.com.
The exercise of these rights is free of charge. Also, if you consider that the Partners have not treated your personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency through the website www.agpd.es or with the supervisory authority concerned.
